At the end of November 2024 I decided I wanted to rework some things in my kitchen and one of those things was how I got my coffee. See for about a year I was just buying big bottles or boxes of coffee from Amazon, grocery stores, or BJ’s and it was just non-flavored coffee. Honestly, it was getting a touch boring and monotonous. So…here comes the change! I really do enjoy cold brew so I knew that is what I really was going to go for…I looked at a variety of cold brew coffees and brewers. Instant Pot really has outdone themselves with this cold brewer. It is quite simplistic! You have your base and then you have your pot with a coffee ground sleeve and, of course, the lid. To brew you pour your coffee grounds (not too fine though) and I use anywhere from 1.5 oz to the recommended 2 oz. Next you pour your water into the pot (up to 32 oz) and set it on the base. You then set your time (I use the recommended 20 minutes and the instructions say the long the stronger) and press start. 20 minutes (or as little as 5 minutes) later you have an amazing pot of cold brew coffee to enjoy! I should also mention that clean up is a breeze…dump the coffee grounds (in the trash and NOT down the sink) and the pot, coffee ground sleeve, and lid are all dishwasher safe. Of course, you can also hand wash but I prefer the dishwasher.
So, after enjoying some cold brewed coffee my Mom decided she wanted a hot brewed coffee so based on my experience with the cold brewer I decided to again go with Instant Pot…again ordered, purchased, and received! Instant Pot really has outdone themselves with this hot coffee brewer. It is quite simplistic while still being modern! You have your coffee brewer and then you have a little section that you put with a reusable coffee ground pod or a K-Cup. There is a water reservoir that you can keep filled or fill as you brew. When you are ready to brew a cup just fill reusable pod or use a K-Cup then choose your settings and the brewing process begins. Easy peasy!
